Our SP Pump is a Heavy Duty Centrifugal Pump designed to operate for 10,000+ hours with fluids between -40°C to 85°C. Our pump is suitable for a number of applications requiring temperature control, including (but not limited to): Hybrid Vehicles, Laser Cooling, Agriculture, Beverages, and Marine.

Our SP22 and SP32 Centrifugal Pumps feature a Brushless DC Motor which has a number of advantages such as variable speed drive, high efficiency, and many more you can read about in our SP Technical Guide.

Variable Speed Drives

Our Centrifugal Pumps can be operated at a wide range of speeds, controlled through a closed loop motor speed control.


High efficiency

As the pump has variable speed drives, controlled by the cutomer for your particular application, it significantly reduces the amount of wasted energy during operation. This means pumps will not be operated at speeds faster than is required and ensures that the pump operates efficiently. Additionally, the brushless motor maintains high efficiency for the whole life of the motor, unlike brushed motors which tend to have a decreased efficiency towards the end of the brush’s life.


External Control

There are a vast range of external control strategies, including external CAN control signals.

If you’re having the following fault with your pump, here’s a check list to rectify them. If you continue to have problems with your pumps, please get in contact with the team.

Pump not turning

  1. Check electrical connection
  2. Check ignition wire
  3. check if ignition wire is ‘ON’
  4. Verify pin location

Pump is running but not pumping fluid

  1. Check System fluid level
  2. Check for hose restrictions (kinks)
  3. Make sure pump is primed
  4. Check for collapsed inlet or outlet hose
  5. Check pump inlet for trapped debris

No CAN communication and/or pump not responding to CAN commands

  1. Check communication harness wiring
  2. Verify that CAN messages are being transmitted in the correct formats
  3. Verify that correct component CAN address is being used
  4. Ensure correct baud rate is selected, this can be set via the pump software

Pump bearings are making a grinding noise when running

  1. Replace pump

Pump is leaking excessively while running

  1. Replace pump. No action is required by customers for pump exhibiting acceptable leakage
